One of the simpliest tips I have found to make a BIG difference in filing is the removal of all paper clips from documents. Twice as much space is taken up when paper clips are used. They are notorious for catching on unrelated papers and slipping off…never to be seen again. Instead, use staples. Keep your stapler and staple remover close by your files. You will have less headaches when retreiving documents from your filing system.
